Re: ComplyWorks

Update:

The emails did not work so I called in to Complyworks yesterday morning and talked to Cheryl who answered the phone. The original girl was not working, so she decided she could explain to me why I was Bad and how their system worked etc, etc. Essentially trying to put the blame all on me.

I told her I understand all that But...!!!
I renewed in January on the 17th, published an intermin doc from my new insurance company and then published the complete doc on the 20th.
Got the Green light from you.
April 2nd the email came out about the new address change that had to be changed at next renewal which for me is now Jan17th 2019.
Comply works decided to do an audit or Shawdirect did, not really sure but then in May you reject and delete my paper work and say it is wrong and it needs a signature from the agent etc and at the 3rd attempt my agent actually called you made sure we had everything you wanted on the Doc before I published it, great. Done and Green light again. Thought that was the end of it, but 2 days later it gets deleted again as Shaw has rejected it because of the address not being changed. She again tried to say it was because of me renewing in May. OMG.
Hang on a minute, I told her it was never renewed in May, what is so hard to understand that I renewed in January, complyworks approved it, and you have done nothing about it until Shaw questioned it.
I said I pay you to check my paperwork to ensure it is correct. You did not do that properly in January or February or March or April, only now in May, so You dropped the Ball and have not done your due diligence working for me. Well, all of a sudden the Light Bulb went off for Cheryl and she finally understood...Only took 1/2 hr or so for me to get it across. lol
So she asked to phone me back, no worries. An hour later I got the call back with a Deep Apology and yes they did indeed drop the ball, she was in touch with Shawdirect and they will except my paperwork as is now.

Finally a win for the Little guy. emoticon

Re: ComplyWorks

I have an issue almost yearly with them regarding my insurance. Try to get an email confirmation of their error, so next year your can quote why they approved you this year.
I had to quote my 2015 & 2016 approval this year to approved this year. Phone calls have no record!

For a Company that is for Specifically checking our paper work, they are disgustingly "Terrible"
It takes them months just to look at my published Docs.
They have to be a bigger problem for Shaw than just doing it them selves..

I think it was fine the way it was before Compyworks started gouging us a couple hundred dollars a year. If you had your insurances in place, good for you and you were covered. If not its your own fault if you had a problem and weren't covered.

Ok, another year and another fight with these..........!!
This time they do not like the wording on my all risk insurance. Just uploaded it again for the 4th time Since Jan 17th. My insurance company Can not believe them. (Wawanesa)

Plus my annual bill For $189 plus tax came the other day. Makes me wonder why I have to pay them to Antagonize me this way??

Going to call the BC Gov tomorrow though as they are charging me 7% PST, when what they do is done in Alberta and send to Shaw in Alberta. So how can they charge me BC tax??

Maybe time to say F--- it and Retire emoticon

Let us know how you make out on the 7% thingy.
We are still a dealer, but gave up the Shaw Designate thing. Now our area is listed as Self Install. So if we do happen to get a call from an existing customer, we charge our regular hourly rate, and they can try and collect from Shaw.

We are presently in semi retirement mode. Try to work on Shaw, Xplornet,Security Cameras and Alarms every second day.

It seems that Shaw Direct is trying to make it difficult for the older guys and hoping they retire. However, the young installers coming up, leave lots to be desired. I think eventually a lot of covered areas will be going self install.

Re: ComplyWorks

I think they may want to go to a Central company like Bell did to cover all of Canada for installers??

But as for the 7% it is legal for them to charge us as they are giving us access to their database to upload it. If we just sent it via an email, then No.

The FFM system is always on the fritz. They might as well go to a central company.

Re: ComplyWorks

the best thing to ever happen in the Squamish Whistler area was when Shaw made it self install I charge $100. per hr from the time I leave and return I email invoices into Shaw and most sub's are reimbursed $150.
